Everyone knows hemorrhoids are emabarrassing and painful. Especially external hemorrhoids. Here are some natural remedies you can try at home for external hemorrhoids.

Many of these remedies can be found at your local drug store. Please be careful when using these remedies as they may not be suitable for everyone. Everyone heals differently and at a different pace so keep in mind, you may have to experiement with different remedies and results may vary from person to person. The objective here is to soothe The itching and decrease the sensation of inflammation. Some natural products to try for external hemorrhoids petroleum jelly, a combo of rosemary and lavender oils, wich hazel, and aloe vera gel.

You may also want to shrink your external hemorrhoid. To do this, you can use horse chestnut, collinsonia root powder or butcher’s broom. Please make sure you follow the directions of these products properly. To treat hemorrhoid syptoms, you should mix water with your choice of herbs such as alumroot, goldenseal, powdered myrrh, slippery elm bark or mullein. Mix the herbs with an equal portion of water to create a paste. Aplly to the affected area and leave for at least 1 hour.

If you would prefer, there are also drinks that may help with symptoms as well. Try mixing black mustard with yogurt and then drink a glass of buttermilk. Another drink with buttermilk would be adding peppercorns, rock salt and ginger to the buttermilk. If these don’t sound too appetizing, you may want to get a pomegranate, peel it, and boil the peels. You can drink a glass of this each morning and night.

Remember: try to avoid any food or drinks that could make your external hemorrhoids worse. These include drinks like cofee or anything with spices. Foods to avoid are sour foods, pickles, and some types of meats. Avoid any of these in excess.
